Auntie Christy Comes for a Visit!
Aunty Christy came to visit us all the way from Huntington Beach, CA! All the more impressive since she is 29 wks pregnant with Baby #3... we were so honored! Her visit coincided pretty closely with her upcoming birthday, so we celebrated over at Rob and Anne's home. Even Malia got in on the party action!
Lookin' yummy in her birthday hat!

The weather has been cooling off here so we souped up Baby Malia's carseat with her fuzzy wuzzy BundleMe. I would pay to have such juicy luxury swaddling me in the driver's seat.
She wasn't sure what to think at first but seconds after this photo was taken, Poopie was out cold.
Uncle Rob taught Baby Malia to do the "Chicken Dance" and "Kung Fu Fightin'"... here is a snippet of the choreographed routines on the 2 videos below. Rob and Annie's son, Wyatt, graced us with his suave moves as well! (unfortunately we are too techno-challenged to figure out how to rotate the video to an upright position, so you'll have to just crane your neck sideways to see it-- sorry!)
We ALL love the baby gym!
We signed Malia up for a full membership to 24 Hour Fitness. As you can see, she just loves working out at the gym. Mommy and Daddy love it because Malia completely wears herself out doing all that cardio; she is now sleeping 8-10 hours straight through the night... which means mommy and daddy are also sleeping well through the night. We love the gym!!!
Also watch her video (last image below)... she likes to talk to the bee hanging above her head; she yells at it with her gentle temper. In this case, she worked herself up so much, she caused herself to sneeze.

So darn cute!
Daddy dressed the baby, oh my. (Her onesie conveniently says "I love Daddy!" and her socks are sport-a-licious)
We purchased some kiddie sunglasses for Malia to protect her precious eyes from the high-altitude sun during our daily walks at Wash Park. Needless to say, I don't think they were fitted for a 2 month old face. But so dang cute regardless!
The big 2 months!
Baby Malia was calm, cool, and collected on the Magic Changing Table moments before heading out the door for her 2 month-old well child visit and her first round of vaccinations with Dr. Matt.
She even appeared calm, cool, and collected just moments after the shots were administered; she passed out into a deep sleep before we could finish getting her dressed and off the examination table... HOWEVER, this is not at all representative of the demon-possessed child she became hours later. We're pretty sure we saw her head spin 360 degrees on her neck and fire shoot out of her eyeballs. Fortunately, Tylenol is a beautiful thing. And for those who want to know the digits, at her visit, she weighed 10 lbs 13 oz (50%) and was 23.25 inches long (85%).

Poopiepants really loves bathtime. We call it "The Spa". She lounges around on her foam pad in the middle of her baby tub amidst soapy warm water with Mommy or Daddy massaging her scalp and limbs-- does it get any better than that???
Malia likes to spread her luv around... she supports many different sports teams. Here she is giving her props to the U. of Hawaii athletes. If she doesn't like how they're playing though, she conveniently barfs up on her onesie so she has to be changed into another outfit.
She loves her swing and it calms her nearly instantly, but we did find her screaming bloody murder one day and ran into the room to find out why. THIS IS WHY. No one enjoys swinging with their face smothered by their hoodie; who can blame the poor munchkin? (of course being such caring parents, we took the time to snap this photo before rescuing her from her fallen hoodie...)

The girl LOOOOOOVES her changing table!

Week 7's Excitement!
Malia was dressed up in full Cowboy's gear, rootin' for her daddy's team from the comfort of Aunties Bridget and Shannon's house. Malia was a little disappointed in Tony Romo's performance on game day though.
Malia's Favorite Things
We only wish we had Ab's of Steel like Baby Malia. Here she is performing her daily Pilates core strengthening routine on her changing table. She is so fit, she will often launch into these exercises while asleep. Her parents dream of being able to burn calories like this without even being awake enough to know it.
Malia has learned to love her B.O.B. stroller, taking many a nap while Mommy attempts to burn off the baby weight during walks around Wash Park. Malia refuses to use the carseat attachment, perhaps because she has discovered that without it, she can spread out and recline, letting it all hang out.

Baby Malia's "Escape from Alcatraz"...
This video is posted for all the doubters, haters, and conspiracy theorists who don't believe Malia has been rolling over from tummy to back since 4 weeks of age. While we would love to attribute it purely to athletic prowess, truly we believe this agile accomplishment is due to sheer stubborness (a trait she so gracefully inherited from her mama n papa). She is a gal who knows what she wants, and frankly, tummy-time ain't it. She isn't always swift at the rolling over process so we posted only a snippet of the whole gig, which can take up to 2 minutes of her hysterical crying and screaming before she succeeds in her getaway... We are so proud of our little Houdini!!!

6 weeks and counting!
Here's a super cute video of Malia and Daddy reading together.
Malia is the Roll-Over Champion!
She is learning to love bath time. She is very modest and placed the yellow ducky there herself...
After bathtime, she likes to slip into her favorite Mary Jane's to stay stylish before she hops into bed. As her Aunt Debbie has pointed out, we should all be so lucky to have socks that look like shoes. It would eliminate one whole step from our morning routine and we wouldn't ever have to learn to tie shoelaces.
